I found the following web sites and Youtube channels very useful  while learning aspects of photography, Photoshop and Lightroom. They are all free, though some have paid content.

Cambridge in Colour - a bit on the technical side, but worth persevering with - an excellent site.

Digital Photography School - a good beginners guide to a wealth of information for beginners, covering all aspects of photography disciplines.

Outdoor Photo Academy - a good site with tutorials by an American called Jim Hamel; he's very good and explains things extremely well. He also has on-line courses which are very reasonably priced.

Fstoppers - good source of information on photography and post-processing.

PiXimperfect - a great site for learning post-processing in Photoshop featuring Unmesh Dinda, probably the best teacher out there by far.

f64 Academy - Another great teacher of Photoshop and Lightroom. Very good at explaining the theory behind the practice. Excellent teaching of colour theory and workflow. My go-to-site along with Piximperfect

Photoshop Training Channel  - the clue is in the name!

Allan Walls  - Best for Macro. Great, dry sense of humour

Alex Kilbee - Great for the more philosophical dimensions of the craft.
